Fishing Nets and Minimalism

This Brand Design is a minimalistic take on ancient motifs found in Sicily, located in southern Italy. With roots tracing back to greek occupation, Sicilians architecture and art  often feature motifs of sea life.

This brand design explores those very same motifs and celebrates the beautiful natural landscape found in the region.

Just Launched: Prague Restaurant in Toronto

I was honoured to be a part of developing the aesthetic for the Prague Restaurant in Toronto. It was especially special to me as I had visited the old restaurant as a girl, and my Czech culture is something that has played a large part in developing my aesthetic.

Have a look at their site that I designed, and visit my site to view a few of the interior design options we played with.

Restaurant Design Process. Merging British Classicalism with Modernism

This design works to capture the warmth of traditional British interiors, in an updated modernist manner. The fawn leather on the modern sofa creates a warm contrast to the stone coloured panelled walls and dark wood flooring. A marble raised countertop brings in polish without losing the otherwise very modern quality of the bar area.

Polished brass accessories and shelvings lend their luster to the space and radiate a soft warmth. The  ambiance is kept from being too “boys club”  with live orange trees and floating light fixtures.
